i am a true Southern girl, born and raised. I am a football mom and Tri-wife. I work full-time at a regional public university helping students meet their educational goals. I am married to a dedicated triathlete. My handsome Tri-guy is my soulmate and has been with me for over 20 years. Our son is a high school senior (never gets easier to say that) who is wiser and a better writer than I will ever be. My mom and dad moved into our home with us three years ago. All of which, you will read much more about if you decide to come back to my little space in this blogsphere.
I love coffee. I like to read. I hate to run, but do it anyway. I like to bike and do not get to do it enough. I make my own hummus to feel creative and to eat good hummus. I have a pintrest page I never update. A twitter account I read sometimes. I cannot live without instagram, which I have set up to automatically feed to my facebook account because I can be a bit lazy.
I love my family and friends. People energize me. I like to fix things, people and situations (all of which is perfectly described in the ENTJ personality description that I wear as a badge of honor); none of which God wants or calls me to do and often He will stop me from doing so; unless He needs to teach me something. I am not special, smart or wise (and there is a difference).
I have come to know a God that meets me each and every day with love, joy, wisdom and peace. He is funny and often plays jokes on me. He teaches me lessons in ways I never dreamed possible. He likes it when I pray, cry, laugh and sing, even when others do not. My love for Him continues to grow and I cannot wait to see what He is going to do each and every day.
My hope and prayer is that my la vida loca, the good, the bad and ugly of it, can be of some help and comfort to you, even if only to help you laugh when you want to, cry when you need it, and think when you least expect it.
